Assessments

Comprehensive educational assessment Wentworth Point
A better understanding of how your child learns.
Educational assessments for growth and understanding
Educational assessments for children and adolescents are designed to build a clearer understanding of how a young person learns. They may offer insight into individual strengths, areas of need, and the factors that shape each student's academic journey.
At PsychWell, we value the whole learner and how they think, feel, and engage in the world. With science-informed tools to assess a student’s learning profile, we provide thoughtful, personalised guidance that supports well-being and academic progress.

Educational assessment questions answered
What is the distinction between cognitive and achievement assessments?
Cognitive assessments look at how a person thinks, reasons, and processes information. Achievement assessments, on the other hand, focus on academic abilities such as reading, writing, and mathematics.
How long does the assessment process take?
Most assessments take a few hours across one or two sessions. This allows enough time for a thoughtful and developmentally informed process.
Will schools and other professionals accept the assessment results?
Yes. Our reports are recognised by schools and other allied health or educational professionals and may help guide appropriate care.
Will I receive a full written report with recommendations?
Yes. A clear, personalised written report is provided, including recommendations designed to support learning and well-being.
Can you assess for giftedness or learning disorders?
Yes. We offer assessments that look at learning strengths, giftedness, and potential learning disorders, with the aim of building a clearer picture of each learner’s unique needs.
