Evidence-based NDIS Capacity Building for Adults
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding for eligible Australians living with disability to access the support and services they may need to thrive in daily life.
At PsychWell, we offer NDIS counselling services for adults that are designed to support individuals with disabilities in nurturing their mental health and personal growth within a serene environment.
Supporting Mental Health Challenges
Together, we aim to uncover obstacles and gently explore areas needing attention, fostering a deeper understanding of the journey. We often support people living with:
- Permanent disability
- Mental health issues
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
- Limited communication skills
- Difficulty managing interpersonal relationships
- And more

Our Therapeutic Support Strategies
In a collaborative spirit, our NDIS-registered psychologists work with you to create simple strategies designed to help you overcome challenges and move closer to your goals.
Drawing on evidence-based approaches like cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), we focus on practical skill-building and aim to support emotional regulation, social and communication skills, and greater confidence in everyday activities.
Tailored Cognitive and Behaviour Support Plans
At a comfortable pace, we craft personalised support designed to reflect your unique circumstances and aspirations, guiding you toward a more fulfilled life. No matter your concerns, we shape every strategy around your NDIS plan goals, and don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach.
A Calming Space
Compassionate therapists offer a calm, non-judgmental space to share thoughts and emotions freely, ensuring clients are heard and supported. In a calm environment, NDIS participants may begin to take meaningful steps toward a better quality of life.
How We May Help You Achieve Your Goals
NDIS counselling at PsychWell supports adults in:
- Capacity building in their daily living activities
- Deepening understanding of emotions, navigating them with clarity and calm.
- Enhancing self-awareness and gaining insight into personal experiences.
- Addressing challenges across various life areas, with care and intention.
The approach is grounded in individual needs and goals, creating a truly personalised experience that nurtures growth, resilience, and well-being.

NDIS Funding FAQs for Psychological Services
Is PsychWell a registered NDIS provider?
PsychWell therapists are qualified to deliver NDIS services and intervention. We welcome self-managed and plan-managed participants, and we’re happy to talk through how our service delivery works with your plan before you book.
How do I know if psychological intervention is included in my NDIS plan?
Psychological support usually sits under Capacity Building in an NDIS plan, often within Improved Daily Living. Because every plan is different, we recommend checking your goals and funding categories, or asking your care team or plan manager.
If it’s helpful, we may explain how our customised support may align with your plan goals.
Do you offer NDIS assessments and reports?
Yes. Alongside therapy, we provide cognitive assessments and diagnostic assessments where appropriate, as well as comprehensive reports to support NDIS access, plan reviews, or goal setting.
We’ll explain what each assessment involves beforehand, so you feel informed and comfortable throughout.
Do you work alongside my other providers?
Often, yes. Many participants benefit from a joined-up care team, and we’re glad to coordinate with allied health professionals such as occupational therapists and speech pathologists, as well as GPs and support networks, so your progress feels connected.
Can family members be involved in the support?
Where it’s welcome and appropriate, involving family members or trusted supporters, can strengthen outcomes and help sustain progress between sessions. We’ll always follow your lead on who you’d like included, and shape the intervention around what feels right for you.
