Pina Campagna
Clinical and Educational & Developmental Psychologist
Pina is a warm, compassionate Clinical and Educational & Developmental Psychologist with over 20 years of experience working in both public and private settings. She has specialised training in assessing and diagnosing neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism (Levels 1 and 2), ADHD, learning difficulties, and giftedness, and she uses a neuroaffirming, strengths-based approach in her work.
Pina is passionate about early intervention and enjoys working closely with families to support children’s development and emotional wellbeing. She supports parents in understanding how to engage in meaningful play and spend positive time with their child, as well as in managing behavioural challenges, particularly in primary school-aged children.
She works with children, adolescents, and their families on a wide range of concerns, including anxiety (such as phobias, social anxiety, separation anxiety, and generalised anxiety), exam stress, and academic challenges. Pina also supports young people experiencing depression, mood difficulties, emotional dysregulation, and sleep problems. She helps manage behavioural concerns, social and friendship issues, and difficulties with organisation and executive functioning. Pina also works with families to navigate phone use, set boundaries, and strengthen emotional connection and communication with their teens. Additionally, she offers support for school avoidance or ‘refusal’, helping families understand and manage the underlying causes.
Pina is trained in several evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing, and incorporates elements of mindfulness and attachment-based approaches into her work.
She is also a Board-approved supervisor and enjoys supporting the professional growth of Educational and Developmental Psychology registrars, as well as registered and provisional psychologists.
Outside of work, Pina is a proud mum to two active kids and one very enthusiastic dog. She loves travelling, discovering new food spots, and making time for memorable experiences with her family.
