Fees, Rebates & Payment Options
We want families to be able to access the support they need. There are several ways your client may be able to reduce the cost of their assessment or therapy — and we offer flexible payment plans for all assessments if needed.
Medicare rebates for therapy
Clients with a valid Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) prepared by their GP or specialist may be eligible for a Medicare rebate on therapy sessions. Please ensure this is in place prior to the first appointment.
Medicare rebates for some assessments
A Medicare rebate may be available for autism assessments for clients aged under 25 years, where the referral has come from a private paediatrician or child/adolescent psychiatrist and the appropriate Medicare item number (items 110–131) has been triggered as part of the referral. The family pays the full fee upfront and claims the rebate themselves after the assessment.
Private health insurance
Some private health insurance “extras” policies cover psychological assessments and therapy sessions, which may allow your client to claim back part of the cost. We recommend families check directly with their insurer to find out what they are eligible for.
Payment plans
We offer flexible payment plans for all assessments, so cost does not need to be a barrier to getting the right support.
